Coupon to Help Babies in Need
Did you know that with your fun couponing habit, you have the ability to help precious babies in need? One of the best things about couponing is that you are able to give to charities and your local community without spending as much as many others do.
Daycare centers, shelters that help families and other local charities that help babies especially need the items that you know they use regularly. These are things you may shop for at the grocery store for your own child or children. These items include:
- Diapers
- Baby shampoo
- Baby wipes
- Baby food
- Bibs
- Formula (mother’s milk replacement)
- Re-usable or disposable containers to put food in
One thing that makes shopping for baby items quite simple is that often you will see coupons for these things. So if this is a charity project you would like to help with, there are coupons available for many of these products.
You can be the most helpful to the charity you choose if you contact them first to ask when they need the most. They may also have specific requirements about item sizes or types of items. Write down their requests and then start to search for coupons that are a good match. You may also want to ask them if they have any preference about when baby item donations are made. They might say they want you to drop them off in a specific place or within a certain time range.
Some may be hesitant to donate items to a charity because they realize that they can “only” give what they think is a small donation. Don’t be shy, if you can give 2 or 3 items, the Moms of those babies will be grateful to receive diapers, baby food and the other things you have donated. It might surprise you to know that there are likely more people making smaller, regular donations than are making huge donations of items as individuals. But know that what you give makes a difference to the families that receive them.
One item many of the charities may ask for, other than baby food is quite likely to be diapers. For families in need, it can be very challenging to afford the cost of keeping a baby in clean, disposable diapers. If you are a Mom then you may remember just how frequently that diaper needed or needs to be changed every day!
Couponing is a great habit to get into. You have the ability to save money for your family and to bring joy to them as you make life just a bit easier for everyone around you. By giving to those in need, you extend that circle and help people in your community receive the gifts you’ve learned from couponing. Remember that not everyone knows how to save money in this way.
It might surprise you to know how many babies and families are in need in your community right now. If you’ve found coupons for baby items and are looking for a charity project, this is a good one to try!
